Kollektive is a Melbourne-based distributor and wholesaler of premium baby, kids and lifestyle brands. Representing globally recognised names such as BIBS, Trixie and Oli&Carol, Kollektive works closely with a network of retailers across Australia to bring design-led products to market. 

As a wholesale business, their success relies not only on strong brand demand, but also on their ability to support retail partners and make it easy for customers to find and purchase products locally. 

PROBLEM

Friction in the customer journey

Like many wholesalers, Kollektive faced a disconnect between online product discovery and in-store purchasing. Customers were discovering their brands online through social media, marketing campaigns and organic search, but often didn’t know where to buy them nearby. 

This created friction in the customer journey. Shoppers were left searching for stockists themselves, while Kollektive’s team handled repeated enquiries about availability and store locations. At the same time, retail partners were missing out on high-intent customers who were ready to purchase but lacked clear direction.

Ultimately, Kollektive needed a better way to convert brand interest into real-world retail sales, while strengthening relationships with their stockist network.

IMPLEMENTATION

Up and running without disruption

stockinstore worked closely with Kollektive to configure, implement and launch the solution, ensuring alignment with their business model and an efficient rollout.

The solution integrated into Kollektive’s existing Shopify Plus website, with minimal effort from internal teams or operations. On Kollektive’s side, the project involved marketing and eCommerce teams, responsible for managing the website experience, alongside operations who focused on supporting retailers and their store networks.

The rollout was a collaborative effort between Kollektive’s marketing and digital teams who guided by stockinstore’s B2B omni-channel specialists.

For Kollektive, it was about making it easier for customers to act on intent. When you remove the guesswork around product availability in store, you not only improve the experience but also unlock more value for every retail partner in the network.
